How Did Auto Data Labels Get Started?
Auto Data Labels stemmed from 25 years in the collision repair industry. At first, we would cut the replacement VIN labels out of the panel, put tape around the edges and give it to the owner to keep in the glove box. Then, as time went on, we came up with other techniques to replace this label. We would carefully heat up the back side of the metal, peal the label off, and stick it back on with some type of clear tape or spray glue. If the sticker was a theft deterrent label and the back side pealed, we would spray the back with white paint, and then stick it on. Then the computer age came around and we could scan the labels and print them on materials closer to what the manufacturers used. Please keep in mind that all the methods mentioned above were better then not putting this important label back on the car. So, from 25 years of doing the above, Auto Data was created and now manufactures tens of thousands of replacement vehicle data information labels, tire pressure labels, under hood labels and vehicle warning labels.
What type of warranty does Auto Data Labels give to the collision repair facility?
The Auto Data Labels Warranty is very simple: if you are not happy, for any reason, the label is yours at no charge.
All replacement labels come with a lifetime warranty against pealing, fading or any manufacturer defect. How can we offer this warranty? It’s simple - the substrates that we use have been tested to withstand all environments (from hundreds of degrees under the hood to extreme cold). Aside from testing by the material manufacturer, Auto Data Labels also conducts extreme temperature, and longevity testing.
Who can order these labels?
Auto Data labels will only sell to collision repair facilities. We will NOT sell this product to the general public or used car dealers.
Does Auto Data labels take the photo we send in and use that as the label?
No. The photo is required only for the information that is on it. We have spent years creating exact templates to insert the data from the photo into our templates.
Can Auto Data Labels manufacture a label without a photo?
No. Every vehicle is different. You might have the exact year, make and model but many options may be different, i.e. wheel size, load capacity etc.
If the label is damaged or missing some information due to the accident can Auto Data Labels manufacture the label?
In most cases we can manufacture the label even if it is missing some information. We have many different avenues to get the missing information. Email us the label for review.
How long will it take to get a label?
The label you order will be delivered to your shop before the vehicle is ready to leave your facility. If your order and good photos are sent in by 4 pm Eastern time the label will be shipped, via priority mail that day. Delivery time is approximately 1-3 days to USA locations, 2-4 days to Canada.
